First Lantern Show in Thailand

In 1992, at the invitation of the National Social Welfare Institute of Thailand and the Yaoluo Amusement Park of Bangkok Linshayan Entertainment Company, to celebrate the 60th birthday of Queen Thai and promote cultural exchanges between China and Thailand, Zigong Lantern Festival went abroad again on December 2 of the same year. Exhibited in Mansu Siam Amusement Park, it lasted 61 days and caused a sensation among the Thai ruling and opposition parties, spreading to South Asia. From members of the Thai royal family, people from all walks of life, and the general public to tourists from all over the world, more than 1.5 million people came to watch the lanterns.
