On March 1st, Red Star News reporters learned from the Bureau of Veterans Affairs of Zigong City, Sichuan Province that the bureau, Zigong Cultural Tourism Investment and Development Co., LTD., and Zigong Overseas Chinese Town Colorful Lanterns Cultural Travel Co., LTD., agreed through negotiation: to launch the preferential policy of Chinese Colorful Lanterns World ticket exemption to the national veterans and the "three families".

According to the policy, from March 1 to March 31, 2023, retired soldiers and "three families" (bereaved families of martyrs, bereaved families of soldiers who died in the line of duty, and bereaved families of soldiers who died of illness) will be able to travel to the Lantern World of China free of charge with an outstanding certificate of veterans or outstanding certificate of "three families". The beneficiaries are not allowed to lend their certificates to others and will be disqualified for free once they are verified.
