The 29th Zigong Lantern Festival Show on 17 Jan.
A press conference for the 29th Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival is held in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province, Jan. 10, 2019. Red Star News reporters learned on site that the lantern fair, which officially opened on January 17 and will last until March 31, is divided into 5 theme areas, and will create China's first "story-oriented + gamified" walk-immersion lantern fair.
Song Qingshan, chairman of Zigong Cultural Tourism Investment and Development Co., LTD., introduced that the 29th Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Fair named "The Light of Dreams · The City of Thousands of lights", will continue to break through the improvement on the basis of the previous lantern fair, with colored lights connecting the real and virtual world, to create China's first "story + gamification" walking dip lantern fair. The Lantern Festival is divided into five theme areas, namely, "Le Sui Wei", "Jian Xia Jianghu", "Brilliant New Era", "Tide Play Alliance" and "Creation World".
It is understood that the five regions have their own characteristics. Based on the traditional lantern craft of Zigong, the latest materials and technologies are integrated to fully meet the needs of tourists of different ages. Among them, the Tower of a Thousand Lanterns is one of the most representative lamp sets, which is about 28 meters high. It integrates the "King of Lanterns" of previous Zigong lantern fairs and colorful lamp styles from all over the country, creating a colorful lamp pagoda integrating culture, interaction, performing arts and shopping, allowing visitors to personally experience the spectacle of "a golden dragon reaching into the sky and all kinds of blessings descending to the earth".
In addition, the five theme areas also gather 13 beautiful scenic spots with stories and urbanization scenes. Among them, the theme area of "The Taste of Music" is composed of four scenic spots: the Gate of thousands of Lanterns, the station of thousands of Lanterns, the Square of Praying for the New Year, and the Museum of Thousands of Lanterns. Jian Xia Jianghu is composed of three scenic spots: the theme area of the Lantern Market, You Long Bay and Luo Shen Cinema. It is a Jian Xia city where young people enjoy the charm of Chinese culture. The theme area of "Brilliant New Era" is located in the "C position" of the fair. It presents important achievements of China's development with colorful lights, and looks forward to the future development direction. By integrating interaction and experience, it creates a beautiful 210m long Chinese scroll. Tide Play League is composed of three areas, namely the theme area of League of Legends Mobile Game, Cyber Salt City and performing arts stage. It combines game IP with colored lights to create a new immersive digital cultural travel experience. The Creative World consists of three scenic spots, namely the Creative Art Museum, the Dinosaur Park and the Energy Factory, creating a creative city that integrates imagination and creativity.
